With so many music fan driven websites published on the world wide web it is hard to find a dedicated webpage that is not just filled with information and random images but offers the user more, thus keeping you viewer/visitor attention for longer that leades to fequent visits to the ‘page’ to re-experience the interactivity again and again.

the brief

With the Timeline of a Legends brief, the student had to show their prior knowlege of the principles of design, typographic design and web design. Authoring of such as folder structure, file formats and media used in the web design. Showing that he/she is able to implement rich media componants such as video and music in the correct format to enchance the experience.

Be comfortable with the HTML, CSS and JQuery language, apply it to the design, and execute a fully functional website. The Student was given a choice between a number of musicians and then had to design and code a “fan page” that would draw the attention of the viewer, and also give them a friendly user experience.

the solution

Being a big music enthusiast, I decided to create a fan page for the late David Bowie. The Focus being to create a timeline of some of his gratreatest hits.

After doing the reasearch and collecting old images, I proceeded to create the custom typeface that fits well with the Artist himself and the music. By keeping the layout clean and mostly focusing on the typography.
